Debut album "Wallop The Spot" from Patrick D'Arcy

We have just discovered that uilleann piper Patrick D' Arcy was a near neighbour to us here in Dublin before he upped sticks and headed for California.  He prefers to play his music in the sun rather than in the damp and cold - that is the Irish summer.  Anyway it appears to have done him a lot of good as he has been quite productive.

"Wallop The Spot" is his first album and in his own words is his first "attempt at reproducing the authentic sounds and textures that are produced by the uilleann pipes when played in a perfect setting.  This could be anything from a quiet kitchen or pub to a garden or amphitheater."  Check Patrick out if he comes your way as he now tours regularly both in the US and internationally.  We have a copy of the album and will shortly be getting around to reviewing it.  For now check out the clip below.
