Here is a sample of some of the music being produced by Emmett Gill and Jesse Smith who have a new album out at the moment called the rookery. They play uilleann pipes and fiddle respectively. I had the pleasure of knowing and listening to Emmett as a young piper many years ago in London and his talent was self evident even at that time.
The album features a range of tunes that they have been playing for over a decade, with some newer ones thrown in for good measure. Learned from manuscripts, recordings, and from some of their favourite living musicians from their early years of learning in their home towns of London and Baltimore.
