Exceptionally inspired album from Damien Connolly

Dan Neely of The Irish Echo wrote a glowing review of this new album by Damien Connolly in this week's edition of the paper.

He said "Inspired is an exceptional album from one of Irish music's bright lights. Connolly is supported by an exceptional cast of musicians who complement his masterful touch and who really seem to understand his compositional sense. It's a delight to listen to."

We include below a first listen to the album with a track that features Oisin MacDiarmada and Sean Earnest. Sean is also a member of The Yank's and wrote.
"I'm very pleased to have been a part of this eclectic recording by my friend, the great Damien Connolly. It was a treat to be able to really luxuriate in the studio and spend some up close & personal time getting into the head of such a mighty musician.
Damien's signature enthusiasm really comes across in a set of reels we played with Oisin Mac Diarmada, which Daniel Neely has kindly singled out for praise in this review. I am honored to appear on several tracks of an album that also features such illustrious company as Seamus Connolly and John Doyle, among others.
Damien has chosen to title the album "Inspired", but let's be honest...Damien is being too modest and it is he who is the real inspiration behind this project! He certainly was for me."
Inspired is one of the highlight's of 2015 so far and we will get to a review shortly.  In the meantime here is track 5 from the album featuring Oisin MacDiarmada and Sean Earnest.

Awesome recording, awesome fiddle to be sure.  This proves once again tempos don't have to be 180 miles per hour to have great energy. Love it!
