Among the highlights of the festival are Irish trad music sessions, a choice of bilingual workshops in sean nós dancing, céilí dancing, singing & bodhrán playing and a Saturday evening gig with the renowned group, Full Set. We will see the return of a Gradam na Sollán competition, a school talent competition, where local kids will represent their school in singing & music competitions as they strive to win first place & take home the Gradam na Sollán award. This year’s festival will also include an expo of Irish traditional instrument making, as well as four music master classes musicians that wish to improve their style and technique.

Sult na Sollán is a community group that set-up the Féile na Sollán festival in Sallins. Sult na Sollán was founded in 2009 in Sallins to promote the Irish language and traditional Irish music and culture. We host a couple of traditional music sessions each month and run Irish classes for adults in the village. We also host two weekly ciorcal comhrá for Irish speakers from the area on Thursdays evenings or Saturday morning in Naas and occasionally run Irish language tours and bilingual Irish cultural workshop family events.
