Traditional Irish Music
Seriously this years 'Net' event, thanks to the technical prowess of TG4, Fleadh Ennis 2016, is a monumental artifact of modern living.
One cannot begin to find words adequate to praise the production, the presentation, the venue and the enormous preparation that went into this show! Presented in 8 several parts, only one fails to play on remote computers/devices due to some kind of amateur hack in the server side. But that is another story altogether. Put it this way, if you think you can view all of the show for 19th August 2016, then you are mistaken! Only one part plays, while the other dies in the middle of itself, followed by a cryptic underscored message saying something utterly ridiculous about itself. Yes I did say 'itself'.
Outside of FleadhTV there is, as widely shown on YouTube, a great Fleadh in the town and surroundings. To be fair to Ennis and Co Clare, they did a great job of organizing and presenting the Fleadh itself, I would need to be deaf and blind not to notice! But notice I did. Happy to add to the many other commentators observations that the BagPipe bands, the Brass Bands, the other Trad Bands that marched in the main thing did a great job! Very enjoyable. As well, the street sessions are outstanding, what more could you get? it is Co Clare after all. The wide and varied concessions only add icing to a lovely All Ireland Ennis Fleadh Ceol 2016.
The Banner County is justly proud of its achievement this Irish Independence Centeniary year, 2016.
