A wonderful evening in Kiltartan Church in South Galway last Thursday, as part of the Yeats 150 festival - 13 harp based events around the country following the 13 full moons in 2015. Thursday was the March 'Wind Moon' and the church was full of young harp players from the Athenry Music School under the direction of Una Ni Fhlannigain, as well as pupils from Kiltartan National School reading Yeat's poems. Actor Gerry Conneely gave us some more of Yeat's poems against the social-political background of the times. I was privileged to be a part of it - reading some of my poems from 'Session' along with wonderful musicians Claire & Eoin Egan on fiddle & box. Well done Karen and everyone else involved in organising it.
