Hup is back for a second season - Sunday Nights

Hup is back for a second season! Ireland’s freshest traditional music show returns to TG4 at 10pm on Sunday nights. The season premiere kicked off at Doolin Folk Festival, featuring a haunting duet by Fiachna Ó Braonáin  and Liam Ó Maonlaí as well as music from Edel Vaughn, the Trí Tones and Rackhouse Pilfer.

This season, they will be visiting festivals and schools across the country to showcase Ireland’s greatest trad musicians.  An octogenarian master shares the billing with an emerging youngster who is causing a stir, and families perform together on campsites, in barges, and in an eclectic mix of locations. With no presenter or narration, the music speaks for itself!

This season, they will be visiting festivals including Baltimore, Kilfenora, Carrick on Barrow and Armagh. There will be music from beloved artists including Tommy Emmanuel, Frankie Gavin and The Ó Mongáin family.
