Imeall TG4 Special on Christy Moore - Thursday 12th December

Imeall – TG4’s award-winning arts series – presents a special edition of the programme with presenter Tristan Rosenstock talking to Christy Moore about his journey through life and the songs he wrote along the way.

Marking the release of Where I Come From – a complete collection of Christy’s self-penned songs - we revisit songs that have never been performed on Irish television.

From the tragic story of Anne Lovett to his Aran eulogy The Two Conneeleys we hear about those he has honoured in his songs and get a sense of some of the issues that have defined Irish life over the past 40 years.

Beautifully filmed in a recording studio this 25-minute portrait of Christy captures the songwriter, the advocate, the bandmate and the man himself.

Christy will also discuss his recent album when he guests on The Marian Finucane Show at 11am on Saturday 14th December on RTE Radio One.
