This is a rather impressive EP that has come to us this week from Low Lily. The trio of musicians previously went under the name Annalivia and their music is grounded in American folk with a range of other influences from Irish and Scottish traditional to Old Time Appalachian and bluegrass.

They mix it up very delicately with a fresh and inviting melodic lines interspersed with some great instrumental flourishes from fiddle and guitar.  The band includes Liz Simmons (vocals and guitar) Flynn Cohen (vocals, guitar, and mandolin) and Lissa Schneckenburger (vocals and fiddle). It’s predominately new material with just a couple of traditional tracks.  Worth checking out. Playlist included below.
