Introducing: Mary Blake with Jack Talty on piano

Introducing two tracks that feature a new traditional voice. The artist is Mary Blake and the two tracks also feature Clare’s Jack Talty on piano. These will form part of an album that will be released later in the year.

Born in New York 1995, Mary moved to Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare at a very young age. With parents from Clare and Tipperary, she became immersed in Irish music and song, learning fiddle and whistle along the way.

Currently, in final year at UL, she has already recorded six tracks for her debut recording which will be called ‘The Rolling Sea’. The album will contain a collection of traditional Irish folk songs, of which Craigie Hill and A Stór mo Chroí, are two. A new voice on the traditional scene.
