Picking up on some new artists Athrú are a 5 piece contemporary Irish trad band that released an EP last year and the tracks below are taken from it.  They "draw upon influences from Northern Ireland and beyond" according to their Facebook page producing music that is "dynamic and fresh."  They have started to build quite a following and are a band that we will no doubt hear more from in 2014.  The band members are Michael Og McCloskey - Bodhran, Roisin McCloskey - Whistles/Flutes, Cormac Crummey - Fiddle/Banjo/Bouzouki, Niall McIlroy - Whistles/Flutes and Damian McIlroy - Guitar/Fiddle.
