Introducing the Tradconnect Online Album Launch

From next month we will be commencing a series of "Online Album Launches".  We have long held the belief that new albums deserve a little bit more of a fanfare when it comes online launches. Its an important moment when you share that first sound and introduce your fans to your new music.  Watching online activity we can't help but notice that artists give little attention to this process.  Sounds and videos are shared in an ad hoc way and opportunities are missed for the artist to get a more informative story across.  Artists are generally not very good at singing their own praises.  However when we ask them simple questions we get back some very rich content.

So whats involved.  In a way it a process of getting back to the release of a first single. Remember those days.  Tuning into Dave Fanning and other radio DJ's to hear the first single from the new U2 album or whoever.  In a way we are looking at a similar idea.  For the Tradconnect Online Launch we will have available the first sound or track from the album.  We will also have spoken to the artist and will have some insight from them on the track, the album or their music in general.  We will also be assisting artists that participate with advise on the process, timing etc.  To participate all we ask you to do is not share any sounds in advance of this launch.

To get us started we have a number of launches in the pipeline including Michael Mc Cagues The Waylaid Man,  Tell You in Earnest by Matt & Shannon Heaton from Boston, a yet unnamed album from Manchester fiddler Kevin Madden as well as Under A Red Sky Night from Martin Tourish.  If you are interested in taking part then please contact us
