The John Dwyer Trad Weekend starts tomorrow 17th October and runs until Sunday 19th. The festival honours the wonderful musician and composer John Dwyer, who is still very much a part of the music scene in the South-East.

The organisers are musicians Edel Fox and Neill Byrne who run the festival in conjunction with the Imagine Arts Festival in Waterford. This is the third year of the festival and it has been going from strength to strength each year. Find below full details of performers and events taking place over the weekend.

Friday 17th October:
8.00 | An evening with John Dwyer and Friends | Noc Noc, The Reg (Viking Quarter), Waterford | Adm €15/€12
Featuring some of the best traditional musicians and dancers in the country including John Dwyer (fiddle), Conal Ó Grada (flute), Ciarán Ó Maonaigh (fiddle), Caitlín Nic Gabhann (concertina and dance), Joe Skelton (banjo), Damien O’Reilly (accordion), Sean Ryan (whistle), Louise Mulcahy (uilleann pipes), Mairéad Casey (dance), Josephine Marsh (accordion), Mick Kinsella (harmonica and concertina), Neill Byrne (fiddle), Lia Byrne (fiddle) and Edel Fox (concertina) plus many more!

Saturday 18th October
