Lynched live concert at ITMA 14th April - Live Stream on Tradconnect

On Thursday 14th April, Dublin folk band Lynched will perform a live concert at ITMA Dublin which will be streamed live on YouTube and here on Tradconnect.  Lynched are one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the Dublin scene in quite some time and recently released their debut album Cold Old Fire.  Their strap line reads "Gritty folk songs from the heart of Dublin city" and when you listen to the track below you will realise why. According to their website they "have been performing for over a decade now, beginning with their self penned folk-punk numbers, and gradually becoming drawn towards the singing tradition of their native city. Seeking to give expression and dignity to Dublin city’s peculiar and unique culture through the medium of the traditional folk song, they accompany their ‘raucous Dublinese twang’ with an array of traditional Irish instruments. Their music wraps itself around the full spectrum of the folk idiom – everything from anti-war sing-alongs, to children’s street songs, to versions of the classic ‘big’ ballads from the Traveller singing tradition, as well as their own original material".

ITMA is delighted to offer the opportunity to experience Lynched in a unique & intimate setting as part of MusicTown 2016. The event will also be live streamed via ITMA’s YouTube Channel, and complemented by a special digital exhibition of Dublin songs on the ITMA website, curated by Lynched.”
