First Listen : Mórga / For The Sake of Auld Decency

We have just got a copy of Mórga's new album For The Sake of Auld Decency and like a few other December releases it will have to form part of our 2014 Album of the Year poll. The one thing that can be said about Mórga is that they are unique. They have a distinctive sound that is all there own and combined with their vibrant approach to their music they stand out.  It is in part a result of the manner in which they have engaged with 1920's America and the Irish music that was played back then.  It forms a thread that weaves its way through the album as well as their stage shows.  We saw them on their Irish tour this year and they were exceptionally good.  The album is fantastic as well.  To emphasize the 1920's theme it has Believe Me, if All Those Endearing Young Charms.  Superb. Review to follow in January. Visit
