Traditional Irish Music
For April 2013 our Album of the month is going to be the new release from Niamh Ní Charra. The album is a beautiful celebration of the music and life of Terry "Cuz" Teahan. Not alone is it presented in an album sleeve that sets new standards, the music inside is fantastic. Sliabh Luachra music of the highest order. If you like slides, polkas, and barn dances this is for you. Niamh has found a rich musical vein and a real and emotional story in the life of Terry "Cuz" Teahan. It combines music, composition, emigration and life on a foreign shore. Terry emigrated from Ireland in 1928 at the age of 23 and carried the music of Sliabh Luachra to his new home in Chicago where he lived for the rest of his life.
