Beautiful new track from Sí Van - The Stolen Bride

Here is a beautiful new track from Sí Van. Tradconnect member Niamh Parsons has teamed up with  Mary Dillon and Tíona McSherry to form this new group. According to their new website "Many folk groups have been labelled ‘supergroups’, and rightly so, but not often do three voices come together, wordlessly demanding such recognition. Sí Van – Gaelic for ‘Fairy Women’ are just that: a combination of three of Irish music’s most distinct voices – the huskiness and power of Niamh Parsons’ delivery, the sweetness and conviction of Mary Dillon’s rills, and the delicacy and honesty of Tíona McSherry’s renditions.

Its taken from a live concert in Castlewellan and features Paul McSherry on guitar and Donal O' Connor on piano.

I've loved Niamh Parsons and her beautiful voice for years. I was excited when she became a TradConnect member and that excitment returns with this notice of the formation of Si' Van. Their performance of The Stolen Bride is exquisite and demands you to listen and follow their progress. Good luck, Ladies!!! Cheers,

Si Van is masterful harmony at it's finest! A great line up of 3 incredible vocalists.

Seen them live at the fleadh in Derry, seriously not to be missed! Neil Martin played most of their gig on Radio Ulster/Foyle a few weeks ago, can't wait for an album! =0)
