Track of the Week - Noel Battle & Roisin Broderick - Street Player /Cul Fada

It's not too often that you hear concertina and harmonica together so this week we are featuring a track by Noel Battle and Roisin Broderick called Street Player/Cul Fada/Limerick Lasses.  It's taken from their debut album called Up and About in the Morning which we will be reviewing next week.  Noel and Roisin met up on a recent Comhaltas tour that resulted in the album. The long bus journeys resulted in some down time that inevitably led to tunes being played.  Some other members of the tour thought that the duet sound of concertina and harmonica really worked.  Ideas regarding an album then developed.  The result is a fantastic recording that received little editing.  It's just two musicians sitting down to play. Accompaniment is provided by Conor Broderick and Joe Meehan.
