Traditional Irish Music
From the Goitse Newsletter : We have been very busy in the last few weeks between gigging, putting together new material for a 3rd Album and getting some press and promo material together. At the start of the month we spent two days in Limerick with master sound engineer Sean Horsman working on a few tracks for a top secret project. We also shot a music video to go with the tracks with Outer Cells Media. We might let you in on the big secret in the next few weeks! So be on standby.
Last Friday we decided to put on the good clothes and take some photos with Maurice Gunning. It’s been a while since we posed for the camera’s so it was a lot of fun and a bit of messing was had as usual. Here is one of our favourite shots from the shoot. Hope ye like it.
Then on Saturday the 19th we performed in Strabane, Tyrone. It was a long journey for us all but we enjoyed teaching a workshops to enthusiastic kids who turned up. Conal celebrated his birthday and the rest of us kind people managed to surprise him with a birthday cake to mark the occasion. His face was priceless.
This Saturday 26/10/13 we will be heading to Dublin to perform at the Scoil Seamus Ennis 20th anniversary. The gig will be on in Roganstown County House Hotel and will be a cracker. Then Sunday we can’t wait to make our debut performance at one of Irelands biggest festivals “Sligo Live”. We will be performing in the Hawkswell theatre as part of a triple bill with the Liz Carroll trio and Niamh Dunne from Beoga.
The following Friday we head on to the Caribbean on a Cruise ship with Celtic Thunder. The ship will be taking in the Bahamas and Jamica so naturally we enough we are very very excitied! We then spend a week touring Florida. For all tour dates check out our website on www.goitse.ie
