Traditional Irish Music
Hi Everyone. We would like to wish all of you a very happy new year and hope that you have had a great start to 2014. Today we reached the four week mark on our Chinese tour which started before Christmas on the 18th of December. We all missed being at home for arguably the best time of the year but having the chance to see China and play some gigs was something none of us could turn down. Christmas day wasn’t too different from home — we watched a few films and ate a lot of Chocolate!!
We have seen a lot of China at this stage but are looking forward to the last two weeks of the tour in particular because they will be spent in Shanghai and Beijing. We are all buzzing to see all the tourist sites and to spent the Chinese new year in Beijing will be a fantastic way to finish off the tour.
When we return home on the 5th of February we have two days off before we head into the studio to record a new album. So any spare time we have in between shows we spend tightening up the new sets for the album. We are now at the stage where we nearly can sign off on all the sets and just practise them before recording them so we are all buzzing with excitement about it.
You can expect to hear some new compositions from band members, some modern compositions, some really old tunes with a Goitse stamp on them and we have some cool tunes from around the globe. We don’t want to tell you too much…. Yet! So keep an eye on Facebook and you can see all the pictures from tour and maybe some previews of the album coming up.
Also check out our website for US tour dates which are now up for February and March!
Talk soon, Goitse
