Notes From The Road : Lúnasa - July 2018

Hi all, summer has got off to a great start with a great month of gigs in Ireland, France Spain, and Switzerland. The Doolin Folk festival, Ortiguiera and Corberyier were a great introduction to the summer touring season.

The big focus of this summer is another run of gigs in Ireland to promote our new album “Cas”. We will be enjoyed by the incredible Natalie Merchant in Dublin, Dungarvan, Skibbereen and Cork City. She’ll be doing a few of her own songs as well the beautiful version of Bonny Light Horseman that she did on “Cas”.

Further down the road in 2018, we look forward to an October run of gigs in Ontario, the highlight being a gala concert in the prestigious Koerner Hall, Toronto. It’s then on towards Australia, back to Ireland for The William Kennedy Piping Festival in Armagh, and finally our US Christmas tour with Ashley Davis.

Hope to see you all somewhere all the way!

Don't forget about Joanie Madden's incredible "Folk'n'Irish Cruise". Next year's cruise leaves from NY city on May 12 and if the last 2 are anything to go by, this will be a truly amazing trip. Fantastic concerts, sessions, dancing, greta food and drinks and of course plenty of time to enjoy the sun and island beaches, it's a trip every Irish music fan should try at least once. Make sure to tell Joanie Madden you're going because of us as it ensures we get back and it's fast becoming our favourite week fo the year! All details at
