First Listen : A track from the new album from 'Open The Door For Three'

This is track No.2 from the new album by Open The Door For Three.  The album is called The Penny Wager and the band includes members Liz Knowles (fiddle), Kieran O'Hare (uilleann pipes, flute, whistle) and Pat Broaders (bouzouki, songs). This track includes three reels.

The Rat in the Thatch ( also known as The Maid of Tullyknockbrine ) is from the Donegal tradition, but influenced in this case by the playing of Frankie Gavin. Kieran learned Hanly's from the great flute player Desi Wilkinson. The Boys of Portaferry is the last tune in the set.
