Shane Mc Aleer will be launching his new album Long Time No See at Sligo Live in a double header with Leonard Barry and his album New Road. Shane's is a mellowed out affair with some outstanding music played to the backdrop of Eamon Mc Elholm on guitars, keyboard and cello, Eamon Murray on Bodhrán and Ryan O' Donnell on Bouzouki. His music is stripped back to the essentials making it a real fiddle players album.
New Road is Leonard's second recording and is a follow up to his debut released some 11 years ago called Mind the Pipes. Rick Epping joins Leonard on the recording as does Conor Byrne, Tony Byrne, John Carty on banjo, Cathy Jordan, Andy Morrow, Tony O' Connell, Cyril O' Donoghue and Seamie O' Dowd.
The launch will take place at The Swan Room, Glasshouse Hotel ,Sligo at 5pm on Sunday 27th as part of the Sligo Live Festival. They will be joined on stage by Rick Epping and Arty McGlynn. Entry is free.
