The Martin Hayes Quartet on first American tour this October!

Irish fiddler Martin Hayes brings his critically-acclaimed Quartet to the USA  for its inaugural American tour this fall.  The group features Martin's longtime musical partner, guitarist Dennis Cahill, violist Liz Knowles (Bobby McFerrin, Open The Door For Three, Riverdance), and NYC bass clarinettist Doug Wieselman (Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed, Antony & the Johnsons). The MHQ made their debut two years ago in New York City with a string of sold-out shows at the Irish Arts Center. They have since appeared in concerts in Dublin and London, and at the Kilkenny Arts Festival, and the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow. Their recently released CD The Blue Room was acclaimed as “Absolutely essential listening when it comes to the very best of contemporary Irish music.” (Arts Desk UK).
