The Palace Sessions: Live recording from Foley & Alderson with proceeds going to Mexico/Puerto Rico charity

Dylan Foley and Isaac Anderson have release a live album of traditional music with all proceeds from online sales going to those affected by the recent disasters in Mexico and Puerto Rico. On their Bandcamp Page they write: "This album was recorded over two sessions in a tiny little apartment known affectionately throughout the Irish music world as The Palace, where the imported house bands who play at John D. McGurk's Irish Pub in St. Louis stay while playing evening gigs over multi-week stretches. This album is presented in its rawest form: no edits, only a tiny bit of EQ, and the tracks presented mainly in the order in which they were recorded. All of the selections are performed on flute and fiddle, except for the final track, which features a tuned-down fiddle, tenor saxophone, and trumpet played by special guest Matt Mancuso.

In light of the recent natural disasters which have occurred in Mexico and Puerto Rico, we are committed to donating the proceeds of online sales of this recording to relief efforts in both of those affected areas while those efforts are pressing. Half of the money generated here will go to Fondo Unido México / United Way México, and the other half will go to Unidos por Puerto Rico / United for Puerto Rico, until it is deemed that relief efforts have been sufficiently funded. We will publish donation receipts online so that all purchasers/donators can be assured that their money is going to the causes we are supporting. Thank you for your support! Let's all try to do some good in the world!"
