Track of the Week : Éamonn O’Riordan and Tony O’Connell / Áine's Reel (27th Sept '15)

Our track of the week, for the second week in a row, with over 230 plays on Soundcloud over the last 7 days is from Rooska Hill.  It's the new album by Limerick natives Éamonn O’Riordan and Tony O’Connell. Tony hails from Glin in West Limerick but now resides in Co.Kerry. Self-taught on the concertina he has won numerous All-Ireland titles and has been described as having a steady pulsing rhythm - characteristic of the west of Ireland. He released a debut album with Leitrim fiddle player Andy Morrow in 2005 and followed up in 2008 with another duet album, called Rossinver Braes this time with Ben Lennon.

Éamonn comes from Athea in West Limerick and also won numerous All-Ireland titles. At a young age, he was playing in sessions with Donal Sullivan and Frances O’Connor, two great West Limerick flute players, as well as box player Donie Nolan and singer Con Graney.
