Track of the Week : Teresa Horgan & Matt Griffith / Brightest Sky Blue

Our Track of the Week for last week with over 220 plays is from the new album by Teresa Horgan and Matt Griffith called Brightest Sky Blue.  It includes 10 tracks of which one is instrumental.  The album includes some outstanding arrangements of songs both old and new.  You can read our Worldwide Album Launch article.

They met while in college in 2006 and started to play together at sessions and parties in and around Limerick. After college, they kept in touch and Matt eventually asked Teresa to come down to Dingle to do a few local gigs. About a year later, Teresa decided to base herself in Dingle and they got the chance to play together a lot more. “We clicked musically and built up a repertoire of songs we liked playing” he said, when we spoke to him in advance of our recent launch. “Recording them was the next natural step. At this point, we were both touring quite extensively with different groups. Finding time to spend recording proved difficult at times”.

This is Track 2 from the album.  It's called Brightest Sky Blue.  While Matt was on tour in Germany in 2009 he met Ian Smith, a Donegal based singer/songwriter who wrote this.

The album is now available to Download
