Tradconnect Album Review Guidelines

We have a pretty broad focus with regard to albums that we review, driven mainly by the time and resources we have at our disposal.

2016 albums

Priority is given to new releases from 2016. Traditional music from Ireland is our primary focus, but we also take in Scottish, Breton, Galician etc.

Older albums

For previous years please send us your CD.  While we may not do a formal review we will highlight the album in various articles.

Reviews by other writers.

If your album has been reviewed by another recognised site/blog/publication you can ask the reviewer to join Tradconnect and post the review with a bottom line link to the original. Reviews that follow our existing layout and size, assuming they are balanced and a fair reflection of the music may get added to our album summary on the home page. With the reviewers permission you can post the review yourself, with links back to the source author.

Send us two copies of the album, one of which will be used for others writers that may also review.

If you would like your album featured in a competition or album giveaway please send us a CODE for use on Bandcamp, iTunes or CDBaby. This is a good way to bring some attention to your recording.
