OK folks. We are a bit ahead of schedule but we have had the first TradConnect meetup for a few tunes. And it was'nt in the same town, it was across the water. Kildare based duo Dulahan-Irl and North of England Michael Robert Orme, based in Chesterfield. To mark the occasion they made a video.

Here is what Michael had to say about it

"Living proof that this website works!!

Last night I had the great good fortune to meet up with Dulahan-Irl and share a few tunes with this accomplished husband and wife duo. This is the first time that I have had the chance to play with genuine Irish musicians in twenty years! I know, I should get out more.

We met in the “chat” facility a while ago and have been swapping tune details and yarns for quite a while now. I can not commend the chat facility high enough for Tradconnect members. We swap info on tunes, share links and have a good old chin-wag on a regular basis. I’ve made friends across the globe thanks to this site feature and it’s a grand way of getting to know people.

There may well be one or two videos and photo’s to upload of this momentus occasion in due course.

On a personal level, thanks Tony, for making this possible."

Thanks guys for the music, the meetup and the kind words. It shows the power of the Chat facility as well, which by the way we will be upgrading in the near future to give it greater functionality.

Hey, nice one!

If only we'd known about this though ..... I'm sure all 715 of us would have come along too! :-)
