With the summer nearly over it will be back to normal routines.  We have held off on posting up artist interviews for the summer period as the online world is generally a lot quieter with everyone rightly experiencing the offline world at festivals and summer schools etc.  We already have a couple of interviews in the bag and will post them up shortly.  We will be talking to Alan Jordan about one of the years surprise hits called Silver Threads.  Its a duet album with Yvonne Bolton and with its mix of predominately new compositions it really is a cracker.  There must be something about concertinas because we have also been speaking to Edel Fox and Niall Byrne about their album The Sunny Banks. If you have not heard it then go out right now and buy.  Disappointment is a word that will never be associated with this album.  A Classic in every way.  Moving on from the jigs and reels we have an interview coming up with Niamh Dunne with perhaps the best album of traditional song called Portraits.

Beyond that you can expect to hear from young Canadian fiddler Kierah Raymond who has just released The Stonemason's Daughter, another great album that mixes Irish, Scottish and Cape Breton music to us.  Its her third album and she is still just 17. Finally one of our best whistle players, Carmel Gunning will be in Dublin with her new group GROG and we hope to meet up with her and talk about here amazing contribution to Irish traditional music over the years. So look out for an autumn of great interviews and music.
