Traditional Irish Music
The cream of young Irish traditional music and singing talent will take to the National Concert Hall stage on Sunday, 7 April next for the Siansa Gael Linn 2019 final. This is the climax of the competition which is organized annually by Gael Linn, and this years' final will see a close contest between eight groups from Counties Derry, Tipperary, Limerick, Clare, Mayo, Sligo, and Laois, for a prize fund of €4,500,
Siansa nurtures the stars of the future, and previous participants include Niamh Dunne ( Beoga ), Neil Ní Chróinín ( Danú ), Radie Peat (Lankum ), The Bonnymen, along with Sligo’s own ‘Moxie’ and acclaimed singer, Niamh Farrell, who now perform on stages worldwide!
