The music of Téada combines with the poetry of W.B. Yeats in a new show that will premiere at Sligo’s Hawkswell Theatre on June 14th 2015. It is described as “A celebration of W.B. Yeats’ strong ties with Sligo. The show marries the music of Téada with verse as we journey around the Sligo of Yeats’s poetry.”
"Through a combination of spoken word from actors Macdara Ó Fatharta & Marcus Lamb, song by Séamus Begley, traditional music of Sligo performed by Téada, sean-nós and contemporary dance from Samantha Harvey & Sibéal Davitt, and evocative landscape photography from Damien Stenson, we find ourselves immersed in the extraordinary work of Yeats and spellbound by a wonderful combination of rhythm and rhyme."
