Thanks Connie!

Giving credit where credit is due: The photo was taken by Ivar Inkapool in the highlands of India, and the watercolor effect was added by Tucker Stilley in San Marino, California.

Hi Connie and thanks, I do have some footage of us playing at a festival but havnt managed to get it on to my computer yet. I do live in a really beautiful place but not many traditional celtic musicians around here, actually none that are really into tha same music as me, thus I've got my kids playing with me! Great to discover this site and connect with like minded musos.

Thanks for inviting me to be your "friend." I don't get on this site too often but it's nice to be "wanted" . . . .   :-)

Hi, Connie - just seen your friend request so apologies for not getting back to you sooner - it's hectic at work at the moment and I haven't had much time for hobbies!

Thanks! Nice to be here!

I've been called "Puma" since I was 5-6 years old, have no idea why... Nowadays I use it and it's probably the name I'm best known under.

Thanks for the lovely words!  No, I can't fiddle in any way but forwards and upright.  :)  Well, I could try but it would sound terrible!

Thanks for your kind words Connie. It is a source of encouragement for me, making me want to write some more. I think all of us are capable of contributing something beautiful not just in the musical world but in every aspect of life. And I want to bring this fact to the open to make more people realize that we are greater as a whole, working together; creating beautiful things and touching lives. Thank you so much!

My father was always known as Chris, which came from his being called Kit after the cowboy (his real name was Roland but I never heard anyone, even his mother, call him that!).  My father came to England from the north of Ireland in the 1860s.

Thanks for the kind words about my playing!  I've just read your profile and I'm very impressed by the progress you've made so quickly.  I too began on the fiddle in my early teens but unlike you had little aptitude (some would say the same about the mandolin).  I still have my fiddle: it was my grandfather's, a Bohemian fiddle from around 1860.  He played both fiddle and mandolin, although by the time I was aware of it, his fingers were so arthritic that he could no longer play.
