I mainly play Irish Tenor Banjo now, though occasionally fiddle and mandolin. I am a beginner with the concertina(anglo), and the guitar I have been playing for about 45 years but not being a singer hardly ever pick it up these days.

Having played the fiddle and mandolin for nearly twenty years I have never been satisfied with the volume of the mandolin and my intonation on the fiddle especially in the faster tunes leaves a bit to be desired, I thought I would have a go with a new instrument.

I am now awaiting delivery of a Copeland 19 fret Irish tenor banjo from a Shop in Dublin. Any tips on playing and/or setting up would be much appreciated.

I will report how I am getting on with it as progress is made…

Hi Alan,

Nice to hear from you mate, but sorry, no, I will not be venturing out tomorrow. I've just got back from holiday and have a list of stuff as long as your arm to catch up with.
