Having a listen to some music today.

1st up is an Album that came to me in a roundabout way. I was in CCE Monkstown for the recording of Moya Brennan's Christmas music concert for TnaG, due to be aired over the next short while, no doubt.

There I enjoyed the beautiful playing of Dave Curley. Sensitive and expert on all he touches - and he played mandolin, guitar and bodhran that day. I found him singing several songs on the latest "Slide" album  ( 2013)  Mendicity…

Concert in the Portalen Theatre, Greve, Denmark

This was just a whistle-stop drop-in to Copenhagen for a concert in the lovely lovely Portalen Theatre.  http://www.portalen.dk 

Capacity audience all seated with candlelit tables.  The organisers had done a wonderful job setting up the hall and the stage. Henning on sound couldn't have been more helpful, even finding a beautiful Taylor spanish guitar so that Chris could play a lovely solo which suited spanish rather than his own steel stringed…
