Singing Niamh, with my twiddlybits, or whatever the word was you used to describe ornamentation that weekend!

If I might toss in an opinion on the Sean Nós discussion, "Sean Nós" is singing Irish language songs in the sean nos style. "Sean nos style," applicable for other languages, means lots of improvised ornamentation, and a nearly complete disregard for rhythm. Wherever the singer and the song are taking each other is just fine - speed up or slow down, hold a note or chop it off, as the spirit moves. I don't have an exact source for this, just accumulated listening to Irish trad and a few conversations with Sean Nós singers over the years.
