About TradConnect

Tradconnect was established in 2011 as an independent music channel that connects Irish, Scottish and other traditional musicians across the world. Whilst initially focused on Irish traditional music the site has expanded to cover music that falls under the general ‘Celtic’ genre including Scottish, Breton, Glacian and related music.

Over the years Tradconnect has grown and now attracts up to 150,000 unique readers annually with close to 1,000 unique daily visitors.

Over 150 Irish and Scottish radio broadcasters use the site on a weekly basis to download the latest albums via our Download Centre, a private portal that provides access to the latest music. To date, Tradconnect has worked with over 130 Irish and Scottish artists and over 55,000 tracks have been distributed.

Tradconnect has also partnered with RTE Culture to further expand reach.

How To Access Our Network

1. If you are a musician from any of the Celtic nations and want to connect with our global audience then send us your press release with images, links, videos, Soundcloud tracks etc and we will feature your news on the site and feed it out to our other social media channels. Email us at tradconnect@gmail.com and put ‘Traditional Music News’ in the title.

2. If you have an album on release send it to us via Dropbox or by post. If you want your music distributed to our radio broadcasters write to us at tradconnect@gmail.com and put ‘Download Centre’ in the title. If you are a broadcaster and want access, contact us.

3. You can also join the site which is free and post your own blogs and events.

4. If you want to advertise with us email us at tradconnect@gmail.com with ‘Advertising’ in the title and we will get back to you.

Finally, we are looking for a major sponsor to come on board with us to support traditional arts so if you have an interest just email us.

Enjoy
