I'm learning a new tune a day. Today I learned one off of one of my favorite new albums of the year, Folk Ragoût's self-titled debut. (Order it: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/folkragout) They call it Matt Hayes' Jig, but it's also attributed to Paddy Fahy who doesn't name any of his tunes. (They all just go by Paddy Fahy's) SO. I'm not sure where this jig picked up its other name. In any case it's a cool tune. The way I'm playing it imitates the 6/8 3/4 changes that Folk Ragoût does in their recording.
