Caoimhin is my absolute fiddle IDOL.  I practically worship him.  The newest album of theirs is killer.  Also his weird open-form music he does on the hardanger is gorgeous as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R48lXNaeT00

Oh yes Lars, I think it's a beautiful Hardanger fiddle!  I would love to try playing one sometime!

As far as "Kitty Lie Over', I got that CD very early on during my introduction to Irish traditional music (a mere two years ago)! Their rendition of the reel 'The Silver Spear' was very influential in my decision to study Irish trad.  I got absolutely obsessed by the pipe and fiddle playing in that tune. Oddly, I was compelled to put it on -repeat- and then listen to it all day for about a week while at the office!  I felt like a little kid again - you know how kids have to listen or watch the same thing over and over?!!!

Very very nice! All of you who haven't already got 'Kitty lie over' and 'Deadly buzz' go buy! : )

Btw, is that a Hardanger fiddle Caomhin is playing?
