I was lucky enough to have these two regularly playing in the 1st session pub I ever played in, way back when they were still just teenagers, but already professional musicians. To see & hear Johnny & Dougie McLean dueling on Fiddles in a session, each with long hair way down their backs, was something I'll never forget - brilliant music. I also saw them do this routine here live once, at what might have been the 1st Inverurie Folk Festival, in Aberdeenshire. I was also inspired & very impressed by Johnny as the solo guest one night at the Aberdeen Folk Club, just him & his Fiddle. Ahhh happy memories.
