These are two reels written by Phil Murphy and performed on harmonica by his son John in John's pub, Colfers, Carrig on Bannow, Co. Wexford, Ireland at the specific request of Malcolm Holcombe after his gig there on Tuesday 10th February, 2009. Malcolm can be seen on John's right hand side listening intently. John is a virtuoso harmonica player in the Irish traditional mould
Went to see 'Pure Irish Drops' yesterday night in Copenhagen, class act! I was blown away by the harmonica playing, had no idea it could suit Irish music to a tee!
Big thanks to John Murphy, Dónal Clancy and Benny McCarthy for a great gig, nice session and a pint to round it off : )
