Fortunately, this was a stunt. We thought we'd get people talking and also shock them a little. Some laugh though!

I've seen a similarly dramatic end to a tune when a tail gut snapped on a blokes Fiddle.

This time though, I think there'll need to be a little more work involved i.e. in re-attaching that neck to the body.

Initially, you just can't help but chuckle! However, I sincerely hope the instrument wasn't damaged beyond repair!  The tune sounded great up till then! I had seen that happen to another fiddle player during a fiddler's competition here in the states. I guess the high temperature and humidity that day proved too much for the instrument. I can't imagine how frustrating that must have been for him.

Good job if you'd want to show the exploded view of a fiddle.. If not - my heart goes out to the fiddler.
